Adapt Ergonomics has launched Flyt, its first interactive touchscreen monitor arm. Flyt was created to offer unrivalled flexibility to users when working from a touchscreen monitor.
Flyt monitor arm allows users to adjust their screen from a conventional eye height position to flat onto the work surface, creating an experience almost like reading a book. This improves comfort and efficiency and makes it the ideal solution for performing a wide range of tasks. Flyt also has an extended reach that allows the touchscreen monitor to be moved across a desk for use by the person sitting opposite. This is a key feature for customer facing environments.
Like all the monitor arms in the Adapt Ergonomics range, Flyt has a future-proof design. This means it integrates seamlessly into the full Adapt range, making it simple to add on extra monitors as your needs evolve.
Speaking about the decision to create Flyt, Garry McKay, Managing Director said:
‘We designed Flyt after being approached by a major government department – they wanted a fully integrated system of supports for regular monitors right through to touchscreens. This included the requirement to manoeuvre their touchscreen monitors, from a conventional upright position, down to a 15° angle touching the working surface. They had not found anything in the market that could meet their exacting needs, so we designed one for them.
Touchscreens are becoming far more common in the workplace, and present a unique set of challenges, so we see huge potential for a truly ergonomic product in the wider market.’
