BTW™ Acoustic Ceiling Planks
Achieve the look of wood with greater acoustic clarity.
Part of the BTW™Acoustic System
Product Overview
As part of the BTW™ Acoustic System, ceiling planks can be used independently or coordinated with BTW™ wall solutions and companion elements to create cohesive acoustic environments across ceilings and walls.
Why Ceiling Planks Instead of Traditional Wood
Linear wood ceilings are often selected for their visual warmth – but they come with tradeoffs that matter in commercial environments.
Traditional wood ceilings deliver visual warmth, but they introduce challenges that often conflict with the realities of commercial interiors. Variability in material, sensitivity to humidity, and long-term maintenance requirements can complicate both design intent and building operations.
BTW Acoustic Ceiling Planks are designed to provide the visual rhythm of linear wood ceilings while offering greater predictability over time. They maintain consistent appearance, resist warping and cracking, and support reliable acoustic performance without refinishing or special care.
For projects where durability, cleanability, and long-term consistency matter as much as aesthetics, ceiling planks offer a practical alternative to natural wood without compromising architectural expression.
Acoustic Performance With Long-Term Stability
BTW Acoustic Ceiling Planks are designed as one element within the BTW Acoustic System – a coordinated approach to managing sound across ceiling and wall surfaces.
Within the system, ceiling planks address overhead reverberation while aligning visually and acoustically with BTW wall planks and companion elements. This allows designers to balance absorption where it is most effective, using a consistent material language throughout a space.
Rather than treating acoustics as isolated components, the BTW Acoustic System supports cohesive, scalable solutions that adapt to different layouts, applications, and design intents.
Consistent Acoustic Performance Over Time
BTW Acoustic Ceiling Planks are designed to deliver consistent acoustic performance throughout the life of a space. Unlike materials that degrade, shift, or lose effectiveness over time, the acoustic properties of BTW planks remain stable under normal commercial conditions.
This long-term reliability supports predictable sound control in meeting rooms, open workspaces, and shared environments—helping maintain speech clarity and acoustic comfort as spaces evolve.
Lightweight Construction for Ceiling Installation
The lightweight construction of BTW Acoustic Ceiling Planks simplifies ceiling installation and reduces structural load compared to traditional wood systems. Planks integrate cleanly into common ceiling conditions, supporting efficient installation in both new construction and retrofit projects.
This approach minimizes disruption on site while maintaining consistent alignment, spacing, and finish quality across installations.
Cleanable, Durable Surfaces for Commercial Interiors
BTW Acoustic Ceiling Planks are designed for commercial environments where surfaces must remain clean, consistent, and presentable over time. The finished surface can be wiped down as needed without special treatments, coatings, or refinishing. This supports routine maintenance in shared and high-use spaces.
Rather than wearing down or breaking apart, the material retains its structure and appearance under normal commercial conditions. This stability helps extend service life and reduces the need for repair or replacement over time.
Designed for Long-Term Performance
BTW Acoustic Ceiling Planks use 100% post-consumer recycled PET fibers to support responsible material use in commercial interiors. Designed for durability and backed by a 10-year warranty, the system helps reduce replacement cycles without sacrificing performance. Efficient packaging and integrated edge trim further limit on-site waste and support cleaner installations over time. Download our ‘Sustainability’ brochure here.
Applications for BTW Acoustic Ceiling Planks
BTW Acoustic Ceiling Planks are specified across a wide range of commercial interiors where overhead acoustic control and visual consistency are required. As part of the BTW Acoustic System, they can be used on their own or coordinated with wall elements across multiple spaces within a project.

BTW™ Technical Info
Applications
- 2×2 ceiling grid
- 2×4 ceiling grid
- Drywall ceiling
- Drywall paneling
Dimensions
- L = 2200mm / 86.5 inches
- W = 200mm / 7.8 inches
- T = 12mm / 0.5 inches
Composition
- PET = polyethylene terephthalate. The boards are created by starting with polyester fibers which are combined with both high melt and low melt fibers. It then goes through a stitching process which weaves these fibers together in conjunction with heat and pressure which eventually forms into a board.
Vinyl
- 0.2mm thick graphic vinyl
Glue
- Hot melt PUR: Kleiberit 702.8
Sound attenuation performance
- Unique, microperforated finish offers superior acoustic performance not found in most faux wood.

Black anodized aluminium
Retrofit drop ceiling tiles by adhering perimeter trim to existing T-Bar grid, and then using Snap Clips to attach BTW planks to T-Bar grid.
BTW™ ceiling plank accessories
This is the trim for a T-Bar ceiling grid being converted to a BTW plank ceiling solution. It has double sided tape which adheres directly to the underside of the T-Bar. This trim is also used for HVAC, trough lighting or any other ceiling detail which is not being covered by the ceiling planks and would otherwise have plank ends exposed.

Use The BTW™Acoustic System For Every Space
BTW enhances acoustic comfort and visual consistency across a broad range of commercial settings.
Architects gain the flexibility to specify a single system across multiple spaces
BTW™ Beam
Lightweight architectural depth without complexity
BTW Beams use PET fiberboard and embossed finishes to provide wood-like depth without the weight. Simple spline connections make them easy to suspend, define zones, or integrate linear lighting.
BTW™ Cloud
Suspended acoustic control for active zones
Lightweight Cloud panels combine an aluminum frame with BTW planks to add acoustic absorption above meeting tables, reception areas, and waiting zones. They suspend without altering the ceiling grid.
BTW™ Headboard
Warm, durable surfaces for hospitality & living
Headboard panels pair BTW planks with black anodized trim to create a warm, durable backdrop. Their wipe-clean finish softens sound around beds or seating while maintaining visual consistency.
