Home » SpaceArm And Flyt Monitor Arms Achieve FIRA Ergonomic Certification

Adapt Ergonomics UK (part of Adapt Global Group) is proud to announce that our SpaceArm and Flyt monitor arms have been tested by the Furniture Industry Research Association (FIRA) and passed the requirements of BS EN ISO 9241-5 Ergonomic requirements for office work with visual display terminals (VDT’s).

Monitor arms should be tested to BS EN ISO 9241 Part 5 as this is the standard recommended by the HSE to show compliance with the DSE Health and Safety Regulations. The ergonomics assessment to BS EN ISO 9241 Part 5 includes user trials for comfort and suitability for use at VDU workstations. BS EN ISO 9241 Part 5 also shows that the monitor arms comply with the minimum ergonomics requirements.

Garry McKay, Managing Director of Adapt Global Group said: ‘Ergonomics is at the heart of all our product designs, so we’re delighted that our SpaceArm and Flyt monitor arms passed these rigorous assessments and are officially recognised as meeting ergonomic standards.’
